Purim Baby Clothes

The fun festival of Purim starts March 9th, 2009. You can find a great selection of Purim baby clothes at Little Characters.

Purim Queen: More Messages

Purim Queen: More Messages Infant Bodysuit

Little Characters

This is one of my very favorite designs. I love the little girl's rosy cheeks and springy curls. I'm especially proud of the message: "Brave, Smart, Pretty - Just Like Esther!" I've seen other designs that make much of how beautiful Esther was. She may have been beautiful, but she risked her life to save her people and she did it by using her wits. Hopefully, some Jewish parents will be inspired to buy their little ones this onesie as a testament to an inspiring woman!

Purim Costume

Simple, but funny text design: "This IS my Purim Costume."

Purim Hamantaschen Baby

Purim Hamantaschen Baby Infant Bodysuit
provided by:
Little Characters

This is one of my designs: it features a cute kid happily devouring Hamantaschen and it says, "Old Enough for Hamantaschen". Babies and toddlers may not be mature enough to fully participate in a lot of holidays, but they can at least enjoy the sweets!

Everything's Jewish: Funny Jewish T-shirts & Gifts

I like how realistic this Hamentaschen is!

Purim Noisemaker Baby

Purim Noisemaker Baby Infant Bodysuit
provided by:
Little Characters

This is a Little Characters original. I've drawn a cute little kid in a mask (he kind of looks like Elton John to me!) shaking a gragger. The example here says, "Happy Purim", but you can find it matched with all kinds of Purim messages ("My First Purim", etc). Like all my designs, it's available with a variety of skin tones and hair and eye colors. It's perfect for your little noisemaker!

Anti Haman

Anti Haman Infant Bodysuit
provided by:
Yosef's Dreams Jewish Art & Designs

This is an Anti-Haman design. Your baby's clothes can protest him as much as the noisemakers!

Sukkot Baby Clothes

What other religion gives kids a chance to build forts with their families? Sukkot starts on October 3rd in 2009.

Sukkot Baby

provided by:
Little Characters

This is a Little Characters design. This Sukkot onesie has a happy baby/toddler holding the etrog and lulav in front of a framed picture drawn to look like cross stitch which features a sukkah and the words, "Sukkah, Sweet Sukkah". The message shown is "My First Sukkot", but several other messages are available.

Jewish Mover and Shaker

JewTee: Jewish shirts, T-shirts and Jewish gifts.

This cute onesie says "Mover and Shaker" and features a lulav.

Xtreme Sukkah Makeover

Xtreme Sukkah Makeover
provided by:
Low Schmaltz

This onesie really makes me laugh. It's a great parody: it says, "Extreme Makeover: Sukkah Edition" with a logo that is extremely similar to the television show's, but it has some details from a sukkah drawn over the letters. The designer, Low Schmaltz has a lot of clever designs for the whole family.

Yom Kippur Baby Clothes

At first, I didn't think I should create any designs for Yom Kippur. I figured fasting and repentance weren't really meant for infants and toddlers. But it is a High Holy Day, after all, so after a while I found some inspiration to create some Yom Kippur onesies and T-shirts. You'll also find a couple creations from other designers below. I only feature my favorites!

Yom Kippur Bottle

Little Characters

This is one of my designs - though it isn't my typical style (no drawing of a baby!) It features a big bottle with a beautiful Star of David on the label. The top says "My First Yom Kippur" and the small print at the bottom is "I'm not fasting yet!"

Shofar Blowing Champion Gifts & Clothes

I like the stylized letters in this. It really does look like a badge or award for the Shofar Blowing Champion!

Yom Kippur Blue PJs

Yom Kippur Blue PJs
provided by:
Little Characters

This is one of my designs. This little boy is wearing blue pajamas with little blue Jewish stars all over them and the message is "Yom Kippur: Sorry about all those sleepless nights!" Clearly a baby or toddler can't offer meaningful apologies, but it might be comforting to imagine he's really sorry.

Yom Kippur Pink PJs

Here is a similar design with a different skin tone and pink PJs for a girl. If your baby wears this Yom Kippur onesie, she might provide a bit of comic relief on a very serious day.

Rosh Hashanah Baby Clothes

The first holiday designs I created for my store were for Rosh Hashanah. So in a real way, they marked the beginning of my work as an artist, designing baby T-shirts and onesies. Scroll down for my favorites - including some great work from other online designers.

Sweet Rosh Hashanah

Sweet Rosh Hashanah
provided by:
Little Characters

This is from my store, and it's one of my very favorite designs. I think the baby has a unique look without having such strong features that parents can't imagine their own child in her face. I like her chubby arms! They remind me of when my son was a little butterball. She's holding a jar of honey and rolling apples and the message is "Extra Sweet for Rosh Hashanah." There are lots of variations available in my store including the message, "L' Shanah Tovah".

Honey & Apples

Celebration Tees

This is another designer's work, but I think it's cute. I like how Celebration Tees chose to show the honey in the little bear dispenser. This design looks good on clothes for older kids, too.

Shofar Design with Other Text

This is one of my designs. I think the little boy blowing the shofar is adorable. The featured message is "Baby's 1st Rosh Hashanah".

I like the artwork in this onesie: you can see two kids climbing in an apple tree with a a beehive (honey).

Hanukkah Baby Clothes

Hanukkah is coming early in 2009: it starts on December 11th! Here are some of my favorite designs for anyone wanting to spoil a little one.

Hanukkah Menorah Baby

This is one of my designs. You can email drawnbyk@gmail.com to request a personalized message (ie Sarah's 1st Hanukkah).

Peace Love Latkes

I just think this design is simple and adorable. I figured a design about latkes would look good on a bib, but it can be printed on T-shirts, too (for children and adults as well as babies and toddlers).

Four Dreidels

provided by:
Yosef's Dreams Jewish Art & Designs

This T-shirt was created by one of my favorite designers: Yosef's Dreams. You can really tell that the dreidels were painted by Michael Yosef (not just blah clipart).

Hanukkah Menorah

Little Characters

This is another one of my designs. It's a menorah with the words "Baby's 1st Hanukkah" in different shades of blue. It's a popular one for personalizing. Just email your request to drawnbyk@gmail.com

Chag Sameach!

The text on this reads "Happy Challah-days". It makes a very cute Hanukkah T-shirt.

This is another one of my designs. It says, "Old Enough for Chocolate" and features a baby playing with a dreidel and gathering chocolate coins. Available with several other messages, too.

Dreidel Champion

I think it's cute how much this looks like a traditional sport shirt. No reason you shouldn't be just as proud of a Dreidel Champion as a Football Star!

Why Create a Jewish Baby Clothes Blog?

My lens on Squidoo explains it all!

But, in a nutshell, I created this blog, because I believe that there is a real shortage of kids' clothes (especially baby clothes) with Jewish themes, and because I think I ought to highlight the small selection of great stuff that is out there while I advertise the products I designed for my store.

Hope this helps some people out!

Jewish Identity Baby Clothes

Don't Assume I'm Christian

Don't Assume I'm Christian
provided by:
Yosef's Dreams Jewish Art & Designs

Available on onesies, and T-shirts for older kids as well as babies. The artist of this design, Michael Yosef Robinson, has a nice collection of children's clothing. Just follow the link to his store (Yosef's Dreams) and browse by kids' apparel. His clothes don't just look like mass market stuff: he has a unique style. This is also a good source for baby clothes with Hebrew text.

Kosher Cutie -Blue

This communicates an important message in a clear, cute way! I like the fun lettering. If you go to the shop, you can find this design in a variety of text colors and it can be printed on all kinds of products.

Pattern Star of David

Pattern Star of David
provided by:
Yosef's Dreams Jewish Art & Designs

Another design by Yosef's Dreams (I just love his stuff!) Click the picture so you can make the image larger: you won't believe the gorgeous intricate detail. He has created a breathtaking arrangement of Jewish stars within stars . . . within stars. Even though it's a complex piece of art, I think it actually looks quite soft and appropriate on a baby's onesie.
